Due to occasional extreme heat we do not work the animals if the temperature reaches 30+. Our guests and the horses safety is our first priority. Please  check the website and read the details carefully We are closed on Monday's. We are a working ranch so are not always by the phone - feel free to email questions and we can respond to you after hours. I do not call private homes after 9:30pm or before 8am in the morning. I am happy to answer emails at all hours so email is the best bet.  We have great horses and great staff and it is well worth the visit!

Weekday mornings are reserved for the Otonobee YCAMP and for Camps Canada - Children participate in a beginner level riding camp here at the Ranch from 9:30 until noon Monday though Friday.  (This year we will be offering 2 weeks of intermediate level riding camps for 11 year olds and over who qualify)  No outside pony or trail riders until 1pm.

Intermediate and advanced trail rides - We will offer intermediate and advanced level trail rides on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday mornings by reservation - Please submit a booking request via the website.

Weekdays - Pony Rides are available from 1pm - 5pm and are on a first come first serve basis for children between the ages of 1 - 10 - parents must fill in a riding waiver in order for children to participate (it can be downloaded at the bottom of the rates and hours page - family riding waiver) Flip flops are not permitted.  You may bring your own bicycle or riding helmets.  We do have helmets available at the ranch if you forget yours.

Weekday Trail rides are available on a first come first serve basis from 1pm - 4pm   If you would like an evening ride send us a booking request and we will accommodate.

Weekend Trail Rides are available on a first come first serve basis - They run at 10am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3pm and a 4pm trail will run if you are here no later than 3:30 to sign in for the trail ride - if you are late you are out of luck.  If the trail ride is at 10am that means the horses are leaving the yard at 10am.  We need you here 1/2 an hour early for sign in and set up for each trail ride.  Thanks for your co-operation!

If the temperature is 30+ we do not work the horses or ponies for regular rides- If you are with a pre-booked camp then we will run the activities with extra water breaks and shade for the kids and the animals. If the heat is exteme during the day we may run an evening trail ride when temperatures cool down. email to set up an evening trail ride if you would like.  Children must be 11 years and older to participate on the trail rides.  We take beginner riders all the time and if you are experienced  we even walk, trot and canter.   Trail guides are a mandatory requirement for your safety as well as the safety of our animals. The proper attire would be long pants and boots or shoes with a 1/2" heel.  No flip flops or flat tennis shoes!  There is alot of wildlife on the move on the trails - we are seeing deer, wild turkey's, rabbitts and porcupines.
